Peach Coffee Roasters Recognized In Worldwide Quality Competitions
Award Are A “Way To Improve” Says Co-Founder
Peach Coffee Roasters prides itself on the quality of its coffee bean selection and roasting. This is demonstrated by the company’s recognition in prestigious competitions against the best in the world.
Peach Coffee Roasters has taken home awards in the American Golden Bean Awards and in The Good Food Awards.
The Golden Bean is a peer-voted, worldwide competition of specialty coffee roasters. The Golden Bean was hosted in Australia for its first 19 years of existence but has since been hosted in the United States for the last eight years. It is considered the world's largest coffee roasting competition.
Peach Coffee Roasters has medaled multiple times in The Golden Bean competition. Its Downtown Connect Decaf is a Gold Medal Winner.
The Good Food Awards are presented by the Good Food Foundation. Each year, it organizes an epic three-day Good Food Awards Weekend for the public and the trade to meet, celebrate, taste and buy from the nearly 200 Winners: the exceptional food crafters who top the charts in a Blind Tasting and meet the environmental and social responsibility standards of the Good Food Awards. Over 2,000 entries from all 50 states are submitted each year.
Peach Coffee Roasters has taken home Good Food Awards in the coffee category, which requires:
- Exemplary flavor – sweet, clean, well-developed body, balanced acidity and phenomenal aromatics.
- Coffee must be roasted in the USA or US territories, with beans traceable back to the producer (or producers) at the farm or cooperative level. Beans must be sourced so that price premiums meet or exceed Fair Trade minimums.
- Coffee must be roasted using methods that prioritize waste management through water conservation, composting and recycling, while maintaining roasting air quality and promoting a safe and enjoyable work environment.
“The standards of each of these competitions are stringent, and we participate so that we challenge ourselves to be the best we can be,” noted David Pittman, Co-Founder of Peach Coffee Roasters. “Competing at this level is a learning experience—we find ways to improve our operations and enhance our products. That benefits everyone who enjoys a sip of our coffees.”
Peach Coffee Roasters was founded in 2018 by Pittman and Landon Bonner, both of whom have years of experience in the coffee industry and a commitment to providing the best products for their customers. Peach Coffee Roasters has three Q-grade coffee roasters on staff, and operates retail coffee roasteries and cafes in Johns Creek and Buckhead, Georgia, along with providing quality roasted coffee wholesale to numerous other coffee shops, corporate coffee vendors, hospitality, and other businesses.
